Toner sits between cleansing and moisturizing. It is a quick, lightweight step that can help your skin feel refreshed and comfortable before you apply a serum or cream. At K2GO-Cosmetics, we carry two different options: the hydrating EPONA Premium Birch Essence Toner and the refreshing Vertty Tea Tree Vitamin Boosting Toner. Here is when and how to use one of them.
When should I use toner?
Use toner after cleansing and before serum or moisturizer. You can use it in the morning, in the evening, or both, depending on how your skin responds and the product label. If you use a sheet mask, apply toner first, then the mask, and finish with moisturizer. In the morning, sunscreen is the final skincare step.
Unlike a cleanser, these toners are leave-on products: you do not wash them off after applying. There is no required 10- or 20-minute wait. Let the toner settle comfortably on your skin, then move to your next step.
Step 1: Cleanse your face
Wash your face with a cleanser that suits your skin, rinse as directed, and gently pat dry with a clean towel. Avoid rubbing. Toner goes on clean skin; it does not replace your cleanser.
Step 2: Apply a small amount of toner
Pour a modest amount into clean palms or onto a clean cotton pad. Gently pat or sweep it over your face, avoiding direct contact with your eyes. Start with a small amount; there is no need to soak the skin or layer both toners at once.

Step 3: Continue with the rest of your routine
Once the toner has settled, apply any serum or ampoule you normally use, followed by a moisturizer. If you use a sheet mask that day, put it on after toner and before moisturizer; follow the mask’s own time instructions. In the morning, finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.

Which K2GO toner should I choose?
-
For a hydrating feel: EPONA Premium Birch Essence Toner features birch sap, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, rice bran water, and Houttuynia cordata extract, according to its product description. Consider it if your skin tends to feel dry or dehydrated after cleansing.
-
For a light, refreshing feel: Vertty Tea Tree Vitamin Boosting Toner is described as containing 88% tea tree leaf water and vitamin B12. Consider it if you prefer a fresher, lighter-feeling toner. It is a cosmetic product; do not treat it as a substitute for medical acne treatment.
You only need one toner at a time. Try the one that best fits how your skin feels, and stop using a new product if it causes persistent irritation.
The simple order is cleanser → toner → optional serum or sheet mask → moisturizer → morning sunscreen. Follow the directions printed on the product you receive, especially if your routine includes prescription skin treatments.
This article provides general cosmetic-use information. Individual skin responses vary. If irritation persists, consult a healthcare professional.
