When and How Should You Use Face Cream?

Face cream is a simple step with an important job: helping your skin feel comfortable and moisturized. The best time to use it, how much to apply, and which texture to choose depend on how your skin feels.

At K2GO-Cosmetics, our Creams collection includes two nourishing EPONA creams and one lightweight VERRTY gel cream. Here is how to fit one into your routine.

When should I apply face cream?

Apply cream after cleansing and any toner, serum, or sheet mask you use. In the morning, follow your cream with sunscreen. In the evening, cream is usually the final step of a simple skincare routine.

Unlike a sheet mask, face cream stays on your skin. You do not remove it after 15 or 20 minutes. You can use a cream in the morning, evening, or both, according to your skin’s needs and the directions on its packaging.

Step 1: Cleanse and gently pat your skin

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser, then pat it with a clean towel. You do not need to rub until your skin feels completely dry. Applying moisturizer while skin is still slightly damp can help it retain moisture.

If you use toner or serum, apply those before your cream. After using a sheet mask, gently pat in the remaining essence and then finish with cream.

Step 2: Start with a small amount

Use clean hands and begin with a small amount. You can add more where your skin feels dry. A richer cream may feel comfortable in a thinner layer, while a lightweight gel cream may suit someone who prefers a fresher finish.

There is no need to apply all three K2GO creams at once. Choose the texture that suits your skin and routine.

Step 3: Smooth it gently over your face

Place a little cream on your cheeks and forehead, then spread it gently over your face. Avoid rubbing or pulling at the skin. Use care around the eyes and follow the product label for any areas you should avoid.

If a new product causes persistent stinging, itching, or redness, stop using it.

Step 4: Add sunscreen in the morning

Cream helps with moisture, but it does not replace sunscreen. After your morning cream, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to skin that will be exposed to daylight. At night, you can finish your routine with cream.

Which K2GO cream should I choose?

For a rich, nourishing feel: EPONA Horse Oil Anti-Aging Cream combines 10% Jeju horse oil with hyaluronic acid and botanical ingredients, according to its product description. Consider it when you prefer a more nourishing cream texture, especially when your skin feels dry. Because it contains horse oil, this product is not vegan.

For a rich cream and a radiant-looking finish: EPONA Red Ginseng Gold Whitening Cream features red ginseng extract, gold, narcissus extract, and a madecassoside-containing ingredient listed in its product description. Its rich texture may appeal to someone who enjoys a more substantial evening cream. “Whitening” is part of the product name; the goal here is a moisturized, more radiant-looking complexion, not a change to your natural skin colour.

For a light, refreshing feel: VERRTY Tea Tree Xylitol Water Jet Cream is described as a lightweight gel cream featuring xylitol and a tea tree complex. It may suit a routine where a rich cream feels too heavy. Choose based on how your skin responds; a cosmetic cream is not a substitute for acne treatment.

The everyday order is easy to remember: cleanser → optional toner or serum → cream → sunscreen in the morning. On sheet mask days, use the mask before the cream. Start with one cream, see how your skin feels, and adjust the amount as needed.

This article provides general cosmetic-use information. Individual skin responses vary. Follow the product label and consult a healthcare professional if irritation persists.
